Under the 2016 (revised) Strata Management Act, all developers are not authorised to run their own management corporation nor can they control the corporation.

In fact, since strata title are now issued prior to completion of a building, a management corporation runned  by a committee of purchasers are usually in place upon handover.

All management corporation are now ruled by the third schedule of the Strata Management Act and a copy can be download through website or by purchasing a copy of the Act
